Homeschooling: My Way of Taking Charge of My Child's Education

Homeschooling: My Way of Taking Charge of My Child's Education

Amid an increasingly standardized education system, I chose a quieter path: homeschooling. Not because I reject the system, but because I want to bring my child closer to the true meaning of learning — not just memorizing, but understanding; not just chasing grades, but cultivating values. To me, freedom doesn't mean being free without direction, but being free to choose a direction that fits my child's nature and potential. At home, education isn't a space of control, but a space of dialogue.

I believe every child is a living verse — unique, full of meaning, and worthy of being read with love. Homeschooling gives me the space to read that verse slowly, without being rushed by school bells or a uniform curriculum. We learn from nature, from the stories of the prophets, from simple science experiments, and from the questions that come up over dinner. This is where education becomes a spiritual experience, not just an academic one.

Of course, this path isn't always easy. There's doubt, there's criticism, there are days when I feel like I've failed. But that's exactly where the freedom lies: I haven't handed over the responsibility of education to the system, but carry it myself with awareness and love. I learn alongside my child, not above them. We grow together, teaching each other, listening to each other.
